Working in a supporting role with Disability Africa has been a real pleasure for us all at room 11.

Disabled children in Africa are being left behind. They are isolated, deprived of healthcare and education, at risk of abuse.

Disability Africa believe that the desperate inequalities that exist for disabled people are uncivilised and preventable. To address these inequalities improves all of us who take part.

The branding for Disability Africa was one of the first requirements for Ric, and we wanted it to be typographically easy to read, but also colourful and appealing to children as well as adults. The inspiration for the icon came from a photo of a beautiful sunset over Africa which we reproduced in the style of a stain glass window, which became 'a view through a window' into Africa.

Room 11 listen. They take time to understand our issues, aspirations and challenges before proposing any design solution. This never fails to result in powerful, attractive and effective communication.

Based in Godalming, near Guildford we have been designing visual identities and developing branding for organisations since 1997.

From local companies to large multinationals, we follow the same process to ensure we develop the right logo and brand identity that works for our clients.

  • The business you are in now and possible new areas in the future.
  • The size of your company, and the scale of your ambition.
  • Your values, your personality, what’s important to you.
  • Your competitors, and how you are different.
