Stateside Developments – Drone filming

Drone filming with Stateside Developments at their latest project in Warlingham.

Stateside Developments have completed a Fantastic two property development in Warlingham, Surrey and to show off just how great the quality of the design and build is, we have produced a showreel for the development, which features drone filming of the exterior with the footage shot by David and piloted by a drone specialist.

The showreel can be seen here, showing a mix of interior and exterior footage using the drone for inaccessible and moving shots, and using a tripod for detailed interior shots, to really show off the quality details and build.

Five tips for 2016 marketing

Room 11 Design recommend the following marketing tips for 2016

1. Have a plan: Failing to plan is planning to fail… its old, but still rings true. Markets and technologies are changing all the time, if you blow the dust off your old marketing plans you probably find they will need to change a little to work in today’s climate. Have clear goals and work back from where you would like to be. Re-assess, re-evaluate and re-focus.. be mindful of peoples needs, technology and trends and 2016 should all go to plan.

2. Mobile Accessibility: After Googles 2015 ‘mobilegeddon’  on non-responsive websites you should now all have your online tools working beautifully on all mobile devices. Mobile has now taken over as the primary source of web views, your presence on these devices needs to be as interactive, engaging and lovely as your desktop website… don’t be left behind.

3. Make the most of video: Online video now accounts for around 50% of all mobile traffic, and has been shown to increase email clickthroughs and website dwell time (don’t you just love geek speak). If you have something to say or a story to tell then think of video. A short video or animation will engage, educate and hopefully entertain (three Es?). Is this the year you bring video into your marketing tool kit?

4. Content Is Still King: Content is and always will be King, and the Queen is still creativity. The two go hand in hand. Quality content should be seen as a priority, regardless of industry. Business decision-makers prefer to get company information through a series of articles, compared to advertising. Consumers believe that companies providing customised content are building better relationships with them, while consumers consider companies that produce video content to be more trustworthy (Source: Content Marketing Institute survey). Get working on that content and hopefully your Queen will help to make it work for you.

5. Get Personal: Don’t be shy, open up a little. With social media, mobile technology and other digital communications having a huge impact on our online communities, we all need to interact a little more. I’m not saying you need to tell everyone what lunch you’re having or how to make Lasagne, however we all need to take part online socially if we are to grow this part of our business. Word-of-mouth, referrals and online reviews all work towards a better online presence. It’s time to get personal!

Make 2016 your biggest. Be bold and most importantly be nice to everyone!

Disability Africa infographic

Disability Africa – Who we are graphic

Working with Ric, we have produced a Disability Africa infographic to help illustrate who Disability Africa are, and the important work they do.

Ric listed out the key information for the Disability Africa Infographic, around what they do and the steps to a successful plan of action, and from this we were able to design and produce a graphic, utilising the colours and brand style that we have previously developed for Disability Africa.

The use of the brand colours and design style enable this graphic to be viewed as a stand alone material and still maintain a strong connection to the brand.

This was important to achieve as the graphic will be adapted and also used to form a a presentation and a series of wall graphics.

This graphic has also been adapted to feature within a pull up banner, and now a poster… next up we will be taking the graphic a step further and splitting the graphic into sections which we can then animate, forming an engaging infographical piece, telling the story of who they are and what they do.

This will also allow us to add to the DA video library and push for further awareness and recognition of the work they do, via social media platforms such as Youtube and vimeo.

The Disability Africa Infographic will form the basis for other infographics to focus on key messages and areas of concern, allowing DA to present their message in a clear, engaging and informative way.

Chailey Heritage Foundation website

The Chailey Heritage Foundation website is now live

The Chailey Heritage Foundation website, a fully content managed website split into 4 separately branded areas is now live and performing well. The Chailey Heritage Foundation website was built to be a new and improved version of the previous website, and to act as a source of information, resources and news for the Foundation. The website was built alongside a content management system allowing a team of administrators complete control over the website, to be able to generate new pages, post news articles upload video content and galleries and  ensure the website is always kept up-to-date.

The website design was based on the identity and branding which the Foundation had established, and the layout within each page needed to allow the content to be easily accessible with the user being able to freely navigate with as little effort as possible. The website content in some areas needed to work in a format suitable for a blog/ news portal, so the overall layout design reflects this flexibility, but with a consistent look and feel.

Wellers Accountants SEIS

Wellers Accountants SEIS Infographic

We have just produced an illustrated infographic, to show the benefits of the Seed Investment Scheme (SEIS) to both Entrepreneurs and to Investors.

The Infographic for Wellers Accountants features a central split character, to illustrate the two sides of the parties, at the focus of the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS).

The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), is a tax incentive for investors, who are willing to include start ups and small companies in their portfolio.

It was designed to encourage investors to fund early stage companies, while helping to reduce their risk through tax reliefs.

Entrepreneurs then gain access to much needed finance.

Each side contains corresponding information, with supporting icons to provide the viewer with a graphic, which is both engaging and easy to understand.

The SEIS graphic for Wellers is the first of a series of infographics produced by room 11, to assist in informing customers about key benefits to Wellers services, and to present information in a visually engaging way.

The design style for the SEIS infographic incorporates the wellers brand colours, and introduces a secondary colour palate to represent the icons, which will be carried through into all future infographics, ensuring they deliver a consistent look and feel.
